Message from the Director of Teaching and Learning

At JTD, we are committed to providing a comprehensive academic program that aligns with our mission to inspire purposeful learning, cultivate character, and celebrate childhood. Every day, we strive to create opportunities and experiences that spark students' curiosity and enable our students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our academic program is built on purposeful learning, which is intentional, engaging, and empowering. Our teachers personalize learning opportunities to meet each student's individual needs, following best instructional practices and educational research. Our student-centered approach values and celebrates each student's unique strengths and abilities. We prioritize a developmentally appropriate curriculum that is relevant to the current world and prepares students for their next educational stage.

Character education is integral to our program, with a focus on developing interpersonal skills and cultivating the 5C's: Caring, Common Sense, Consideration, Cooperation, and Courtesy. As students progress, they become risk-takers, build confidence, leadership skills, and personal integrity.

Preserving the magic of childhood is at the heart of all we do at JTD. We celebrate small milestones and traditions that build lasting memories and connections across generations. Our traditions inspire reflection, connect students across generations, and build memories that last a lifetime.

Our students' journey focuses on intentional social-emotional development, culturally responsive curriculum, and technology-rich learning, complementing our robust academic program. These key components aim to create lifelong learners ready for their next stage of education.

Warm regards,
