Greyhound Athletics
Students in Grades 4 through 6 are encouraged to participate in the school’s after-school athletic program, which is coached by dedicated members of the JTD Athletic Department.
As a member of the San Fernando Valley Private School League, JTD provides students with opportunities to participate in team sports that support growth and skill development.

The athletics program is intentionally designed to support student growth, participation, and enjoyment. Each sport typically includes two to three teams per grade, creating space for athletes of all skill levels to participate and develop. Seasons run approximately six weeks, with practices held during the school day during PE classes and about six after-school games each season. Grade 6 teams are also eligible to qualify for postseason playoffs through the league. The program emphasizes sportsmanship and teamwork laying a strong foundation for future athletic experiences and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.

The JTD Athletic Program emphasizes participation, sportsmanship, teamwork, effort, and the development of athletic skills.
This type of program enables our Greyhound athletes to experience friendly competition while preparing them for secondary school athletics. Students graduate from JTD with a varied range of sporting skills, an appreciation for the importance of good sportsmanship, and a love of being part of a team.
