Family Fun to Close the Year

By Sigita Newsom
This week, we wrapped up the school year with our final all-family assembly—and we truly ended it with
a bang! The event was filled with laughter, energy, and a wonderful sense of community as students,
faculty, and staff participated in Minute to Win It games and a campus-wide scavenger hunt.
Each family meeting spot became a hub of fun, with activities ranging from the hilarious "Cookie Face"
challenge—where players moved a cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their
hands—to a lively paper airplane contest out on the lawn. One of the best parts? Hearing the laughter
echo through the halls and seeing students walk away with cookie crumbs on their faces and huge
smiles.

Our family program has become a cornerstone of our school culture. Students eagerly look forward to
reuniting with their buddies and family groups, faculty enjoy reconnecting with former students, and
staff members appreciate the chance to step away from their desks and share in the joy. It’s moments
like these that truly build our sense of belonging and connection.
