Class of 1983 Celebrates 40 Year Reunion
The Class of 1983 gathered in October to celebrate their 40 year reunion. They met on campus for a tour followed by an intimate dinner at Jane (Feldstein) Mass’ home. Four of their teachers, including Joanne Scheding, Judy Mansfield, Bruce Roat, and Rachel Nardo, joined and reminisced well into the night. Derek Brown had created a video of well wishes from most of the classmates and several of their teachers so even those that couldn’t be there in person were able to be a part of the evening. Conversations reminded the classmates that they had created a time capsule as they prepared to graduate.
The following week, Mark Harris and Billy Deutch went to campus determined to find the forty-year-old relic. After a search that fellow treasure hunter Indiana Jones would appreciate, Mark and Billy were able to find the intact time capsule with instructions to “open ten years from now at our reunion in 1993.” The class plans to gather again this spring to open it with their 6th Grade History teacher, Bruce Roat, who spearheaded the project in 1983. Stay tuned to learn what these Greyhounds stored away all those years ago. In honor of the evening, the class made a donation to The Raymond R. Michaud, Jr. Opportunity Fund.
