Student Council Elections

On a warm September afternoon, campus was buzzing with excitement as eager sixth graders took to the stage to deliver their student council speeches.
The annual event gave sixth graders the opportunity to showcase their leadership potential and share their visions for a better school community. As parents, teachers, and fellow students gathered in John Dye Hall, they witnessed a remarkable display of enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication from these aspiring student leaders.

Speeches ranged in topic from heartfelt promises ensuring a more efficient lunch line, to ambitious proposals for organizing fun and educational events throughout the year. Each candidate shared their unique ideas and highlighted their leadership qualities. 

As each candidate stepped down from the podium to encouraging “snaps” from the audience, it was evident that the future of JTD was in good hands with such passionate and motivated young leaders eager to take on important roles within the Student Council. Leadership truly knows no age, and JTD students are already shaping the future with their inspiring speeches and commitment to making a difference.
