Big Sunday Books N’ Brunch

By Malia Gregory
Absolutely everyone has some way that they can help someone else.
This inspiring motto originates from Big Sunday, a non-profit organization JTD has partnered with for over 5 years.
From painting murals in under-resourced elementary schools to collecting items for service projects, Big Sunday organizes hundreds of events throughout the year, offering thousands of ways to get involved. Big Sunday’s goal is to provide opportunities for all participants to work as an inclusive team to help others.

On Saturday, September 23, JTD parents and students participated in Big Sunday’s annual Books N’ Brunch event. As always there were many ways to help! In the week leading up to the event, JTD families donated over 700 books! Members of the Parents' Association Service Learning Committee brought these books to the Books N' Brunch event and sorted them alongside other members of our community.

The event was a huge success thanks to the help of our generous community!
