JTD Unveils New Mission Statement

By Kate Merritt
Following a recommendation from our recent accreditation, the administration and Board of Trustees underwent a process of evaluating our Mission Statement. We convened a committee who thoroughly analyzed our existing Mission Statement, gathered feedback from our faculty and staff and Board of Trustees, and ultimately authored a new Mission Statement.
The Board of Trustees approved the new Mission Statement in its final meeting of the 2020-21 school year, and the committee set about writing a set of Core Beliefs to accompany the new mission and further articulate our vision for our School. We are excited to unveil the new Mission Statement below, which we believe captures the essence of our school on the hill, and guide us as we evolve to meet the ever changing world around us.

We look to each day with a commitment
to inspire purposeful learning,
cultivate character,
and celebrate childhood.
