Grade 1 and Grade 2 students learn about native plants for Earth Day 2021

By Kate Merritt
On Earth Day, JTD Grade 1 and Grade 2 students learned about native plants in Science Class. Students used recycled paper and mixed native plant seeds into the paper to form native seed plants to plant at home.
The second grade classes also discussed invasive plant species and then took a field trip (in their Biography Day costumes!) to the JTD Canyon to observe these plants in the wild!
