Raising Global Citizens

While so much of our focus this year has been on executing our program in this COVID environment, we remain committed to educating our students to be responsible, global citizens. Yesterday, January 27 – the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz – was International Holocaust Remberance Day. The United Nations designated this day so that people around the world would listen to stories from survivors as a way of commemorating the six million Jewish lives lost and honor the memories of those who survived. To get a glimpse of what it was like to grow up in Nazi Germany, check out Daniel's Story at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. 
February marks the start of Black History Month and gives us another opportunity to reflect on important figures in history as well as modern day change makers. You can take part by exploring the pivotal role Black people have played throughout U.S. history and in our society today. Below is a list of activities you can participate in throughout the month of February:
